It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of our beloved sister and aunt, Agnes Pauline Gear, age 83, on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Florence on August 17, 1933, Pauline was the daughter of the late James and Gertrude (Boutilier) Gear. She was a member of Wilson United Church in Florence for many years. Pauline enjoyed the simple things in life, she loved visiting the mall on Fridays where she would pick up her lottery tickets at the booth, she enjoyed her dinners at the Clansman Restaurant and sitting out during the summer months. She was a friend to all and will be missed by everyone who knew her. Pauline is survived by her sister, Gertie Slade, North Sydney; her sister-in-law, Kay Gear, Alder Point; her numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved very much; her best friends, Michael and Mary Gracie and her fur baby, Cindy.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, William, John, Gordon, James and sisters, Edna Marks, Ada Mulley and Doris Green.
There will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday in the W. J. Dooley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney with Marjorie Serafinus officiating. Burial will take place in Brookside Cemetery, Sydney Mines.
