Quinlan S.E. O’Blenis
1994 - 2017
Quinlan Stephen Earl O’Blenis, 22 years of age, of Moncton, passed away on Saturday May 13, 2017 at home with his family. Quinlan was born on September 23, 1994 in Moncton to Earl and Tracey (Lines) O’Blenis.
Quinlan was diagnosed with primary pulmonary hypertension at 2 ½ years old and given 1 to 5 years to live. Quinlan bravely beat all the odds and stuck around for 19 more years to the amazement and joy of all. Quinlan touched hearts everywhere, was extremely positive and had an amazing sense of humour. He loved to draw, have conversations about life, loved ghost stories as well as animee. He liked his music and video games and loved to have naps. He entertained himself for hours with YouTube.
Aside from his parents, Quinlan was survived by his brothers: Devlin Earl Edward (26) and Sullivan Joseph Earl (17), both of Moncton; his maternal grandmother, Ivy Legere of Amherst, NS; his paternal grandparents: Earl and Carol O’Blenis of Amherst, NS; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Cecil Lines.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Friday May 19 at 10:30 am. Visiting hours are Thursday from 7 to 9 pm only. Any donations in memory of Quinlan to the Moncton Lions Sick Kids Fund Inc. would be appreciated.
