CHANCE HARBOUR ROAD – Brenda Nyla Windsor, 62, Chance Harbour Road, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by her family.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late James Ainsley and Rose Ann (Emberly) Peitzsche. Prior to retirement due to ill health, she was employed with Eastern Mainland Housing Authority for 36 years. Brenda enjoyed shopping, going for coffee and watching her favourite TV shows. She enjoyed being fashionable and took great pride in her appearance. Brenda shared an amazing relationship with her husband, Pat, who, throughout her long illness, was her constant support and caregiver. She will be dearly missed by those she loved.
Surviving are her husband of 42 years, George “Pat” Windsor; daughter, Crystal Dawn (Ryan) Douthwright, Halifax; granddaughter, Lily Douthwright; sisters, Judy (John) Raniowski, New Glasgow; Rosemarie (Greg) Simms, Burlington, Ont.; brothers, David Peitzsche, Toronto, Ont.; Joe (Viviana) Peitzsche, Burlington; Bill (Rhonda) Peitzsche, Trenton; mother-in-law, Genevieve Windsor, New Glasgow; several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Monday in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, New Glasgow with Father Thomas MacNeil presiding. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery.
