It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of our son, brother, partner, uncle, cousin and friend, Brent Gordon Young, age 35, on Thursday, May 18, 2017 in Toronto.
Born in North Sydney, April 29, 1982, Brent was the youngest son of Benjamin and Heather (Ivey) Young, Millville.
Besides his parents Brent is survived by a brother, Benjie (Dynette); he was an uncle to Payton and Tessa; a friend and partner to Spencer and he was a nephew, cousin and friend to many.
By request there will be no visitation. A funeral mass will be celebrated 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Church, Bras d’Or with Rev. Peter McLeod officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney.
