It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of my mother, Mary Frances Senior, 89, on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at the Northside General Hospital.
Born in Florence on December 26, 1928, Francie was the daughter of the late Frank and Matilda (Jardine) Lovell. She was the last surviving member of her family.
She is survived by her son, William (Butch); eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Senior; son, Frankie; daughter, Mary; sisters, Florence, Teddy, Emma and Carrie May, and brothers, George, John, Art and William.
Visitation for the late Francie Senior will be held on Sunday, May 28, 2017, from 7-9 p.m. in J.M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main St., Sydney Mines. The funeral service will take place Monday at 11 a.m. in Trinity Anglican Church, Sydney Mines, with Rev. Stacey LeMoine officiating. The burial will be in Brookside Cemetery.
