
Margaret Mcgrath
(Peg) Mildred (nee Nolan) of Avondale. It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing at the L.A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 of our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and dear friend, Margaret Mildred McGrath, aged 78 years. Predeceased by her precious husband and friend of 53 years, Raymond (2006); her daughters: Hilda (1957), Margaret (1964), Carmel (1975); her parents, Michael (1949) and Mary (1989); her brother Michael (1938) and Edward (1986); her sisters: Catherine Mason (2007) and Elizabeth Penney (2005); her father-in-law Nicholas McGrath (1947); her mother-in-law, Mary T. McGrath-Lyons-Fewer (2001); her brothers-in-law: Jack Mason (1987), John Davis, Doug Johnson, Jack Corbett (2001) and Joseph McGrath (2003) and her sister-in-law Geraldine Lewis (2008). Left with fond and loving memories are her children: Loretta Hawco (Roy), Chapel's Cove, Barbara McGrath-Barber (Ron), Alberta, Nicholas (Margaret), Toronto, Elaine Maynard (Howard), Deer Lake, Raymond (Kim), St. John's, Deborah McIntyre, Toronto, Patti McGrath-Wright (Paul), Jackie McGrath (Michael Costello), Peggy McGrath (Bernie Wall), Carrie McGrath (Eugene Crowley), Michael (Karen), all of Avondale, Patti Lynn Payne (Michael), Alberta; her twenty-five precious grandchildren: Kory, Albert, Amanda, Stan, Cortney, Penny, Nikki, Cody, Lori Lee, Patti Lynn, Ashley, Lisa, Tyler, Danielle, Raymond, Jake, Shannon, Stefanie, Jodi, Drake, Brittany, Amber, Emily, Erica and Zachary; and twelve great-grandchildren: Ashton, Izabella, Madisyn, Megan, Tristan, Tyler, Paris, Paige, Camry, Joden and Faith; her sisters: Mary Frances Davis, Clarenville and Geraldine Gregson, Ontario; her sisters-in-law: Anna Nolan, Aggie McGrath, Anne Ghaney, all of Avondale, Loretta Johnson, Arkansas, USA and Mary G. Corbett, Chapel's Cove. A special thank you to her two home care workers, Maureen Noseworthy and Daphne Cole. Also a large circle of extended family and friends. Resting at Dunphy's Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation from 2-9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. Funeral will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2008 with 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial from Assumption Church, Avondale. Interment will be in the family plot at Assumption Cemetery, Avondale.
