PARSONS, Loretta (née Bradley)– Passed away from pancreatic cancer in Ottawa on January 18, 2009, at 61. She left this world too soon and will be missed by all who knew her. Born in December, 1947, she left home (Indian Cove, Labrador) at 15 to pursue higher education first in St. Anthony and then at Memorial University. At MUN she met Scott whom she married in May 1968. They moved to Ottawa in 1976. Loretta balanced motherhood and family life with a successful career as teacher, librarian, manager with Information Canada, and technical publications editor with the RCMP, from which she retired in 1998. In her retirement, she enjoyed travel, and time at home with her pets, garden and family. Loretta will be greatly missed and cherished by husband Scott, daughters Karen and Kim, son Jason, and her siblings Larry, Shirley, David and Kirby. She was predeceased by her father Donald, mother Violet and brother Terry. A memorial service was held on January 22nd. Donations can be made to Memorial University in Loretta's memory.
