Bruce W. Morrisey 1950 - 2007 Bruce W. Morrisey, 56, of Riverview, N.B. passed away following a sudden illness at the Moncton Hospital on Friday, Sept. 14, 2007. Born in Truro, N.S. Nov. 13, 1950, he is the son of Frances (Boomer) Morrisey and the late Charles Morrisey. Bruce was formerly employed as assistant manager of pay audit with the CNR, he had 34 years service from 1971 to 2003 at the time of his retirement. He is presently employed with Atlantic Mazda in Moncton. He attended St. Paul's United Church in Riverview. Bruce was instrumental in organizing the Riverview Minor Baseball and Riverview Minor Basketball programs. He was an sportsman, he enjoyed golfing at his home club (Royal Oaks) and a former member of the Moncton Golf and Country Club and curling at the MCA. A loving and caring husband, father, son, brother and a friend to all, he will be deeply missed by his wife Irene Morrisey, his three children Mark of Calgary, Matt and Michelle at home, his mother Frances Morrisey of Truro, N.S.; a sister Elsie Lively of Ontario; four brothers Earl (Shirley) of Hilden, N.S.; Vincent (Olive) of Truro, Cecil (Verna) of Fredericton and Billie (Verna) of Grand Falls; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his father he was predeceased by a brother-in-law Harry Lively. There is no visitation at the funeral home. The memorial service will be held from Riverview Funeral Home Chapel, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview, N.B. on Monday, Sept. 17, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Steve Berube officiating. A second memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007 from Brookfield Knox United Church in Brookfield, N.S. at a time to be announced. Interment will be in Brookfield Knox United Church Cemetery, Brookfield, N.S. Donations made to Heart & Stroke Foundation or to memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by his family.
