Myra Drover

Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge in Carbonear on Friday, May 16th, Myra Drover of Upper Island Cove aged 88 years. Predeceased by her husband Archibald, her parents Mark Lundrigan and Elizabeth Elsie (Smith); sisters: Mabel, Lydia (nee Lundrigan) Reid; brothers: John Edward (Scotland); Ian, William, John (baby); sons-in-law Cecil Stone, Patrick Hammond. Left with fond and loving memories, sons Joe (Carol) of North River; Ray (Maureen) of Upper Island Cove; daughters: Susie Hammond of Spaniard's Bay; Mabel Stone of Bryants Cove; Marina Edgar Allen of Port Aux Basques; Barbara Drover of Upper Island Cove; brother Ray (Bertha) Lundrigan of Upper Island Cove; sisters-in-law: Jessie (Osbourne) of Upper Island Cove; Edith Lundrigan of England; 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, and a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Young's Funeral Home in Spaniard's Bay. The funeral service will take place at 2 p.m., May 19th, at St. Peter's Anglican Church with interment to follow at St. Peter's Anglican Cemetery, Upper Island Cove. In her memory flowers not accepted. Donation may be made to the Trinity Placentia Conception Health Foundation. Visitation Saturday and Sunday, 2-4 p.m., 7-9 p.m., Monday 10-12 noon. The Drover Family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff of Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear.
