RIVERTON - Frances Marion McCabe, 83, of the Valley View Villa, Riverton, formerly of Union Street, Stellarton, passed away Friday, April 13th, 2007, in the Villa. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Burton and Mary (Hoare) Fowlie. Frances was the eldest of five children. She was a member of the Ladies Guild, First Presbyterian Church, Stellarton, and Lodge #667, Ladies Auxiliary of the United Transportation Union. Surviving are daughter, Cathy (Georges) deRome, Liverpool; son, Don (Cheryl), Moncton, NB; grandchildren, Danielle and Marc; sisters: Helen Boomer, June (Cyril) MacIntosh, Joyce Kent and Judy McNutt, all of Truro. She was predeceased by her husband, Garfield in July of 2006. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at 1 p.m. Sunday until the time of the service in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton, from where the memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating. Burial will be in the Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Frances may be made to the Alzheimer Society, the Valley View Villa or to a charity of one's choice.
