Anita Sacobie

The passing of Anita Sacobie of Kingsclear First Nation occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital in Saint John, N.B. on October 20, 2010. She was 56. Born in Fredericton, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary Theresa (Polchies) Sacobie. Anita worked as a Teacher's Assistant at George Street School. She was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, and a very avid Bingo player. A devoted and loving mom and grandmother, she is survived by her children Cyril (Veronica), Christa (Jason), Craig (Brooke) all of Kingsclear First Nation; six grandchildren Alex, Shayna, Sage, Tyson, Lyric, and Lyndin; partner Ken Martin; brothers Gary (Sarah), Glen (Dorothy), Dana all of Kingsclear First Nation; sisters Sheila Brooks (Randy) of St. Mary's First Nation, Cheryl, Karen, Laurie all of Kingsclear First Nation; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister Kathy, a brother Fred.
Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Rd. on Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 am from St. Anne's Kingsclear Roman Catholic Church with Father Monte Peters officiating. Interment in the adjoining cemetery.
