PICTOU - Thelma June Gendron, 75 of Denoon Street, Pictou, passed away Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007, at the Aberdeen Hospital. Born in Elderbank, Nova Scotia, she was a daughter of the late William and Anna (Bain) Leedham. Thelma was a resident of Pictou for the past 29 years having previously resided in Moncton and Ontario. Surviving are a son, Kenneth, British Columbia; daughters: Kathleen (Gary) McAvoy, Halifax; Tracy Shaw (Harley Palmer), Stellarton; grandchildren: Jeffrey, Kristopher, Jerry and Nathan; a brother, Laurie Leedham, Elderbank, NS.; sisters, Shirley "Jim" (Abbey) Abolit, Elderbank; Rita (Charles) Reid, Middle Musquodoboit; several nieces and nephews. Cremation to take place. There will be no visitation by request of family. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday from the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Burial of ashes will take place in the Elderbank Cemetery, Elderbank, Hants County, at a later date. Family flowers only.
