Forbes It is with great sadness the family of Lucy Forbes announce her passing on November 23, 2008, at the age of 97 years. Lucy was born in Nesbitt, Manitoba January 22, 1911 and moved with her family to Saskatchewan settling in Tugaske. She met and married her husband, Harvey and they moved to Moose Jaw in 1934. She will always be remembered for her love of all her family and the wonderful meals she prepared no matter how many people appeared at her door. Predeceased by her husband Harvey (1970), her father and mother, Walter and Lucy Criddle; brothers and sisters-in-law: George (Ethel) and Harry (Marion); sisters: Violet Pope and Gladys, daughter-in-law, Marlene Forbes - Saskatoon, Lucy is survived by her loving children, daughters: Joyce (Bill) Marshall - Moose Jaw and Vel Woods - Saskatoon; sons: Murray - Martensville, SK; Patrick (Evelyn) - Saskatoon; Gordon (Beth) - Calgary; thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at a later date. Special thanks to all the staff at Extendicare for their wonderful care during her short time there.
