Jean Alicia Baxter, 91, of Truro, passed away Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Great Village, she was a daughter of the late Trueman and Gertrude (Patriquin) Spencer. She leaves behind her friends at Brunswick Street United Church, Truro and as well the members of the Card Club. She is survived by a son Bob (Patricia) of Valley; daughter Carole Ann (Michael) King of Oshawa, Ont.; grandchildren, Jason, Tanya, Susan, Sarah; three great-grandchildren; brother Fred (Bonnie) Spencer of River Phillip; sisters, Mrs. Ella Duffy of Dartmouth, Doris (Vaughn) Smith of Port Wallace, N.S.; sister-in-law Mrs. Sylvia Bragg of Halifax. She was predeceased by her husband Layton 'Mike'; brothers Layton and Edwin. Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. prior to funeral service at 2 p.m. Wednesday, both in Brunswick Street United Church, Truro. Rev. David Lutes will officiate with a reception to follow in the church hall. Spring interment will be in the River Phillips Cemetery, River Phillips.
