PICTOU LANDING - Nettie Marie Hughes, age 80, of Pictou Landing, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2007, in the Aberdeen Palliative Care Unit. Born in Trenton, she was a daughter of the late Augustus and Catherine (Fraser) Feltmate. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by daughters: Isabel Murray, Trenton; Cathy (Lewie) Fraser, Pictou Landing; Mildred Curtis, New Glasgow; sons: Bill (Patricia), Trenton; James (Joan), New Glasgow; Ron (Norma), Saskatchewan; grandchildren: Sandy, Heidi, Heather, Darlene, Lori, James, Holly, John Richard, Ashley, Brodey, Karissa; five great-grandchildren; sister, Edith Christie, Pictou Landing. She was predeceased by her husband, James William Hughes; son-in-law, Douglas Murray; sister, Mildred Dupont; brothers, Evan Anderson and Charlie Anderson. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton. Funeral service 11 a.m. Wednesday in Bethel Presbyterian Church, Pictou Landing, with Mr. Fergie MacKay officiating. Burial will be in Saint Ann's Cemetery, Thorburn. Donations in her memory may be made to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Unit or a charity of choice.
