April 6, 1925 - November 18, 2007 Olive Chayko passed away peacefully on November 18th, 2007, in Cumberland, B.C. She was predeceased by her parents, Tom and Margaret Ashton; her brother, Robert Ashton; grandson, Ricky Poje in 2003; and her husband, Eric Chayko in 1994. Left to mourn are her daughter, Margaret-Ann (Glenn) Poje; grandsons: Joe (Mayumi) Poje and David (Angie) Poje; great-grandchildren, Diamond and Cole Poje; her son, Bob (Sandy) Murray; grandson, Dwayne (Kerry) Murray; great-grandson, Brendon Murray; as well as her sister, Ann Grant Fiet; sister-in-law, Jean Ashton; plus several nieces and nephews. Olive spent her last seven years in the care of doctors and the very wonderful, capable staff at Cumberland Lodge. A service honouring Olive’s life will be held on Monday, November 26 at 11 a.m. at COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION & RECEPTION CENTRE, 1101 RYAN ROAD, COURTENAY.
