It is with great sadness that the family of the late Theresa Marion Lainey announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at the age of 86 years. She will be sadly missed by her seven sons: Francis (Theresa) Madore of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Yve Lainey of Stephenville, Gerard (Kim) Lainey of Alberta, Joseph (Mary Ann) Lainey of Fox Island, Gilbert (Dinah) Lainey of British Columbia, Tony Lainey of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Chris (Sharon) Lainey of Stephenville, five daughters: Mary (Wallace) Moore of Prince Edward Island, Doreen (Howard) Winsor of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Rita (Danny) Lainey of Stephenville, Agatha and Margaret Gale of Grand Prairie, Alberta, one brother, Stan Young of St. John’s, one sister, Mary Madore of Stephenville Crossing and 15 grandchildren, 20 great- grandchildren and two special granddaughters, Laurie Lainey (Zigmond Snook) of Stephenville, Theresa Lainey of Stephenville and special grandson, Jason Lainey of Stephenville as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Lainey (1990), her long time companion, James Strong (2008), three daughters, Rose Lainey (1963), Genevieve Shears (1999) and Teresita Hynes (2007). Cremation has taken place and Interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Children’s Wish Foundation, Stephenville would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Russell’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Stephenville.
