On February 23, 2010 Elaine Sarah Connock (Pike) of Sherwood Park, Alberta, formerly of Corner Brook, NL, reached peaceful sleep at home with her family at her side after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 70. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her husband Garfield of 52 years, her daughters: Wanda (Dave) Tapp, Cheryl (Rick) Cooper, Cyndi (Real) Strasbourg, son Kerry (Denise Wareham); her 5 grandchildren: Tyler, Jordan, Zackery, Janelle, Abby; stepsons: Ray (Patricia), Wayne (Irene), Terry (Ann) and their children, Alma, Andy, Leighann, Terry, Denika and Vanessa, sister Glenda (Mike) O’Quinn. She was predeceased by parents Edward and Christina Pike, brothers: Edward and Tex, sisters: Verna, Dolores, Romana, Gloria and grandson Brian Connock. A celebration of Elaine’s life will be on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Columbia Anglican Church, Beaumount, AB with Reverend Susan Storey officiating.
