
ROGER CHRISTOPHER McKAY
McKAY, ROGER CHRISTOPHER At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on December 26, 2001, Roger C. McKay age 85 of Fredericton passed away. Born in Charlesbourg, Quebec, he was a son of the late Georges and Georgianna (Ouelet) McKay. Roger was a field representative for the Department of Health and Welfare until his retirement in 1981, and a member of St. Dunstan's Catholic Church. He served overseas during WWII with the Medical Corps and was Past President of the Royal Canadian Legion #188 Noranda, Quebec, a member of the Richelieu Club, Treasurer of the Red Cross, Noranda, Quebec. He also loved to fish and garden and had a great love for whatever his grandchildren were involved with. Surviving are his wife Doris (Hutchinson) McKay, children, Linda Giudice (Antonino) of New Maryland, Suzanne McKay and Anne McKay both of Fredericton three grandchildren, Mirella, Gina and Michael, two brothers, Alfred McKay (Yvette) of Montreal Jacques McKay ( Therese) of Charlesbourg, Quebec, five sisters, Jacqueline McKay, Jeanine Blondeau, Simone Gosselin, Francoise Trudel all of Quebec City and Colette Bouchard (Guy) of Loretteville, Quebec, numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers, Georges, Archibald, Fernand, Jean-Yves and Raymond, sister Marie-Claire. Family will receive family and friends, Friday, December 28, 2001 at Bishop's Funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Saturday at St. Dunstan's Catholic Church at 12 Noon with Msgr. Brian Sheehan officiating Memorials may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of the donors choice. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4 will hold a Tribute Service, 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
