(January 7, 1945 - May 30, 2008) Passed peacefully away at home in the presence of his wife in Paradise on Friday, May 30, 2008. Born in Solano, Nueva Viscaya, Philippines, Oscar settled in Newfoundland with his family in 1977. Predeceased by his parents Jose and Angela in Philippines; and brothers Jose in Denmark and Francisco in Philippines. Survived by his wife Felvita; daughter Karmella, Calgary, AB; and son Ritche (wife Holly and their daughter Kaia) of St. John's. Also leaving brothers Drs. Romulo (Claudia), Missouri, USA; Pablito (Evita) Edmonton, AB; Benjamin, Manila, Philippines; and one sister Emily Leach (Brad) of Edmonton, AB. Also a circle of extended family and friends including co-workers at MUN Technical Services and St. Clare's Biomedical Department. Visitation will take place at Caul's Funeral Home LeMarchant Road Saturday 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Monday from Caul's chapel. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Newfoundland & Labrador Kidney Foundation or the Diabetes Association.
