Lily Beatrice Sellers
Passed away peacefully at her home in Grand Falls - Windsor surrounded by her loving family on February 2, 2008, Lily Sellars at the age of 80 years. Predeceased by parents Mary (nee Bartlett) and Anthony Mugford Lear of Port de Grave, sisters: Ida Lear, Bertha Roberts, and brother Alan Lear. Left with fond and loving memories her beloved husband of 60 years, Raymond; children: Judy Durant of Carbonear, Ross (Ruby) Sellars of Grand Falls - Windsor, Joy (Gary) Baker of Harbour Grace; six precious grandchildren: Joanne (Darrell) Mercer, John Durant, Roger (Sonya Piercey) Sellars, Jason Sellars, Kathryn Baker and Kristen Baker. Also leaving to mourn sisters: Hilda Bartlett of Bareneed and Myrtle Morgan of Toronto; brother John Lear of Port de Grave; sister-in-law Rosie Lear of Goderich; brother-in-law Reg (Laurene) Sellars of Oshawa, Milton (Marion) Sellars of Toronto and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Visitation will take place from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, February 2, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday, February 3, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 4, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from Memorial United Church with Rev. Howard Crooks officiating and assisted by Rev. Royden Reynolds. Interment at the Interfaith Cemetery, Union Street. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory to Memorial United Church Building Fund. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Pallbearers are: George Piercey, Lloyd Hiscock, Bert Elliott, Dave Anthony, Bill Burke and Gary Parsons. Honorary pallbearers: George Morris, Roy Stoodley, Roy Pynn, Jasper Lake and John Moore.
