NEW GLASGOW – Abigail Grace Walsh, 12 week old baby girl of Andrew and Amy (MacNeil) Walsh, New Glasgow, was carried to Heaven in the arms of an angel on Sunday, October 5, 2008. Born on July 8, 2008 at the IWK Health Centre, Halifax, Abigail began life with serious congenital heart defects, spending the first two months of her life in hospital. She finally arrived home on September 5 to the love of an adoring family. Abigail was a cuddly, happy child, whose smile melted the hearts of everyone who met her. Unfortunately, on Sunday evening the best medical care could not keep her with us. She now plays, whole and pain free, surrounded by the love of her Eternal Father, waiting for her mommy and daddy. Surviving besides her parents, are her brother, Riley; sisters, Madison and Olivia; maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Darlene MacNeil, Stellarton; paternal grandparents, Raymond and Lynn Walsh, New Glasgow; maternal great-grandmother, Roberta MacNeil, Pictou; paternal great-grandmother, Joyce McMullen, Trenton; aunt, Tasha Walsh (Adam House), Kingston, Ont.; uncles, Matthew (Jonessa) MacNeil, New Glasgow; Darcy (Missy) Walsh, Thorburn; cousin, Cassidy Walsh, Thorburn; numerous aunts and uncles. She was predeceased by maternal great-grandmother, Margaret Jeffers; maternal great -grandfather, Patrick MacNeil; paternal great-grandparents, Jimmy and Doris (Myette) Walsh; paternal great-grandfather, Elmer McMullen. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery, Scotsburn. Family flowers only.
