Charles "Moosie" Morrison

SCOTCH HILL – Charles Aubrey “Moosie” Morrison, 69, passed away April 27, 2008 at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Salmon River, he was a son of the late Ronald Bruce and Nettie Barbara (Lynch) Morrison. Charles was a machinist for 34 years mostly with Harold Cameron Ltd. He was happiest when he was cutting firewood, playing cards and crib with friends, and was great practical joker. He is survived by children: Sherry Foance (Daniel), Scotch Hill; Dale (Garf) Fanning, Pictou; Chuckie, Scotch Hill and Donnie (Andrea), Liscomb, Alberta; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, sister, Barbara MacNutt, brother, Eugene (Ruth) Morrison, both of Truro, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by daughter, Jane Marie in infancy. Visitation will be held 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday from Bethel Presbyterian Church, Scotsburn, with Rev. Dr. Norman Marple officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in his memory may be made to the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit. The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to Drs. Burrill and Farrell for their care of our dad, to the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital, the nurses from the VON and home care support that gave dad the compassion and kindness that a person deserves. A special thank you to Harold Cameron for being there for the family.
