NEW GLASGOW - Charles Alexander "Charlie" Jardine, 75, High Crest Place, New Glasgow, passed away Friday June 1, 2007, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in White Hill, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mamie (Munro) Jardine. Prior to retirement, he was employed with the Town of Westville for many years. He was a member of Christian Fellowship Church, New Glasgow. He was Past Grand of Scotia Lodge No. 11, I.O.O.F, and member of Crystal Fountain Rebekah Lodge No. 11, Cushing Encampment No. 10 and Canton Dryden No. 2, Westville. Charlie enjoyed singing with the Stellarton Male Chorus and, Joyful Noise and Friends. He was a passionate step-dancer and friend to many. Surviving are his aunt, Olive Munro, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow; special cousin, Henrietta (Jim) Hood, Stellarton; two nieces; two nephews; several cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Jessie Pearl (Watson); brother, Bill Jardine. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Scotia Lodge No. 11 will conduct their service at 6:45 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday in Christian Fellowship Church with Rev. Dave Campbell officiating, assisted by Rev. Charles McPherson.
