FRASER'S MOUNTAIN - It is with great sadness that we announce that Cindy Marie Campbell, 44, passed away very peacefully at home, on Wednesday, June 20, 2007, after a hard fought battle with cancer. Besides Cindy's massive love for her children, husband, family and friends, she had an incredible love for life in general. Cindy was an avid gardener, she loved animals and all creatures; birds from miles around counted on her regularly with her beautiful bird feeders. Cindy was, without a doubt, an angel. Cindy worked at Michelin, Granton, for 20 years, and previous to that she worked at Pridham's Studio, New Glasgow. Cindy was a member of St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, Thorburn. She took part in the annual Dragon Boat Races in support of Breast Cancer for several years. Cindy's biggest passion in life was Kevin, Jarret and Cody. Cindy will be sadly missed by her husband of 25 years, Kevin; sons, Jarret and Cody, at home; parents, Dougald and Barbara MacDonald, Linacy; sister, Darlene (John) Reeves, Morin Heights, Que.; brothers, Basil MacDonald, Central West River; Vincent (Kim) MacDonald and daughter, Kayla, Thorburn; Glen (Leigh Anne) MacDonald and daughter, Jenna Leigh, Linacy; Phillip MacDonald, Linacy; numerous cousins; father and mother-in-law, Hugh and Betty Campbell, New Glasgow; sister-in-law, Wendy Campbell and her daughters, Lisa and Julie who were Cindy's "girls"; brothers-in-law, Bob (Pam) Campbell and daughters: Gina, Jill, Erin, Sackville; Wayne (Janice) Campbell and children: Greg, Karen, Stacey, MacLellan's Brook; Brian (Kathy) Campbell and children, Brad, Stephen, Lori, Stellarton; Barry (Sandra) Campbell and daughter, Jessica, New Glasgow. Cindy was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Alex and Donelda (MacGregor) MacDonald; paternal grandparents, Archie and Kathleen (Noonan) MacDonald; uncle, Ale MacDonald; aunt, Phyllis Lumsden. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. St. Ann's CWL will say prayers at 6:45 p.m. today in the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Gregory's Roman Catholic Church, New Glasgow, celebrant, Father Colin MacKinnon. Cremation to follow. Interment of ashes will be held at 11:45 a.m. Sunday in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made in memory of Cindy to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society, the Canadian Cancer Society, Pictou County VON or any charity of choice. "To have known Cindy, was to love her."
