New Glasgow/Springville – Connors, Cyril Watson – 67, Douglas St., New Glasgow, formerly of Springville, passed away May 31, 2008, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late John Thomas and Alice Rose (Martell) Connors. Cyril was a resident of Springville for the past 30 years. He was an employee of Sobey’s Warehouse for a number of years. Cyril enjoyed travelling the Cabot Trail and going for drives to enjoy the countryside. Surviving are his wife, the former Lois Feltmate; step-children: Steven (Debbie) Connors, Morse, Sask; Robert (Ruth Ann) Connors, Guelph, ON; Christena “Tena” (Bob) MacDonald, Westville; John (Jacqueline) MacNeil, Iroquois, ON; Patrick MacNeil (Cyril), New Glasgow; Teresa (Brian) Merkley, Williamsburg, ON; Susan (Robert) MacPhail, Pictou; Karen (Ron) Fisher, Halifax; Mary (Ken) Cunningham, New Glasgow; sisters, Georgina Clark, Truro; Margie (Robert) Marcipont, Westville; brothers, Roddie (Belinda) Davidson, AB; Tom (Linda) Connors, Stellarton; special niece Hilda and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or memorial service at the request of the deceased. Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society. Arrangements are under the direction of the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
