September 23, 1932 - June 2, 2008. Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's on Monday, June 2, 2008, Joan Margaret Brockerville of Lawn in her 75th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories sons Adrian of Lawn, Terry of Shearstown, Gary (Marsha) of Coatsworth, ON, Bren (Debbie) of Kitchener, ON, Cyril (Nadena) of Torbay, Sonny (Daisy) of Lawn, Corey (Lisa) of Clarenville, and Mannie (Janet) of Waterloo, ON; daughter Violet (Dave) Moores of Mt. Pearl; special friend and daughter-in-law Carm Brockerville; sisters Gloria Edwards and Sheila Brockerville; brothers Pad (Anne) Flannigan and Cyril (Laura) Flannigan; twenty grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband Julian, daughter Tammy, sisters Mary and Edna and brother David. Resting and visitation to take place from Holy Name of Jesus R.C. Church in Lawn on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 beginning at 1 p.m.; Thursday, June 5, 2008 all day; and Friday June 6, 2008 from 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Prayer Vigil to take place at Holy Name of Jesus R.C. Church in Lawn on Thursday evening. Funeral Mass to take place from Holy Name of Jesus R.C. Church in Lawn on Friday, June 6, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the R.C. Cemetery in Lawn.
