PICTOU LANDING - It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Joseph MacKenzie, 46, of Surrey, B.C. in an ultra-light plane crash, Tuesday, July 3, 2007. Born in New Glasgow, N.S., he was a son of Clara MacKenzie, Pictou Landing and the late Norrie MacKenzie. He is also survived by his companion Eileen; brothers: Alfred (Darlene), Pictou Landing; John (Kelly), Kirkfield, Ont.; sisters: Mary Ann, Stellarton; Margaret, Pictou Landing; Susan (Kevin) Shaughnessy, Barrie, Ont.; a number of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held in Surrey on Saturday.
