Peacefully passed away in Peterborough on Saturday, December 6, 2008, in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Alexander Upham, she will be missed by nieces, Jane Wright and Eleanor Wright; nephews: John Wright, Abbott Wright, Jim Baker and George Baker, their respective families and many cousins and friends. Born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, Edith lived in Texas before settling in Naples, Fla. and Peterborough. Befitting her mariner heritage, she traveled the world by sea, air and land, and her travel stories will be fondly retold by all her loved ones. A former violinist, Edith was a supporter of the arts in Peterborough and Naples, Dalhousie University, and many civic organizations.
