TRURO – Eileen Rose (MacDonald) Dudka, 81, of The Mira Long Term Care Center, Truro, formerly of Stellarton, passed away Sunday, April 27th, 2008, at the Mira. Born in Trenton, she was a daughter of the late Alan and Annie (Phillips) MacDonald. Eileen worked for 30 years along with her husband Bill in the Stellarton Memorial Rink. She was very proud to work in the nut and bolt factory during the Second World War. Eileen was a life member and past president of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Branch #28, Stellarton. She was a member of Branch #28 for 20 years. She was also a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Stellarton. She is survived by her daughters, Andrea (Baxter) Livingstone, Westville; Pat (Carl) Shaw, Truro; sons, Michael, Halifax; Bill (Sandy), Toronto; sister; Teresa (Ray) Gillis, Stellarton; brother-in-law, Don MacKay, Moncton; grandchildren: Becky, Jennifer, Phillip, Carla, Julia, William, Kevin, Marc, Erin, Matthew and Brian; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Bill; and sister, Evelyn MacKay. The family will receive visitors from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Donations in memory of Eileen may be made to the Branch #28 Veteran’s Memorial Wall, the Alzheimer Association or a charity of one’s choice.
