Born in St. John's, Nfld., November 3, 1926, Daughter of the late Willis and Mary Ann (Best) Burke. Wife of the late William (Bill) Cornwell. Mother of Jean (Fred) Beairsto, Kensington and Wayne Burke, Summerside. Grandmother of Dean (Trish) Beairsto, Calgary, Ab; Gregory (Olive), Kensington and Heather Mae (Jonathan) Zinck, Dartmouth. Great-grandmother of Mary Ann, Megan (Steve Parker), Michael, MacKenzie and Maggie. Sister of Freda (Goodwin) Wiles, Hamilton, On. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Jean (William) Sweetapple, Mildred (Alfred) Butler, Gladys (William) Luffman, Ruth Hebbard, and Gwendolyn Burke in infancy; brothers James Burke, George (Doris) Burke and John (Betty) Burke; and her daughter-in-law Geraldine Burke. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington, P.E.I. No visitation by personal request. Funeral Monday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m. Interment later in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, St. John's Newfoundland.
