LEONARD G. COOPER

COOPER, LEONARD G. The death of Leonard G. Cooper of Fredericton occurred after a brief illness on Saturday, February 15, 2003 at his home, with his family and his Boston Terrier by his side. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Edward and Ellen (Bogle) Cooper. Leonard was employed with the Department of Labour for the Province of New Brunswick, retiring in 1991 after 26 years of service. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 4, and the St. John Lodge No. 27 F & AM. He was very fond of his dog, enjoyed the outdoors and his computer. Leonard is survived by his son, Dale E. Cooper and his wife Jean Curran of Quispamsis; his daughters, Janet L. Cooper and her husband Michael Levesque of Dalhousie, and Carol E. Cooper of Guelph, Ontario; and his granddaughters, Loren and Taylor of Quispamsis. He was predeceased by a brother, Earl Cooper. In keeping with Mr. Cooper's wishes, no funeral services will be observed at this time. A graveside service will be held at a later date at the United Church Cemetery in Alma, New Brunswick.
