Henderson, Elizabeth Ann, 56, of Coalburn, Pictou County, passed away Friday, November 9, 2007, at her home. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Priscilla (Kennedy) Grant. Liz was a resident of Coalburn since 1969, prior to which she lived in New Glasgow. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church and was a former religious co-ordinator at St. Gregory’s Roman Catholic Church. She was a former employee with the N.S.C.C. Pictou County Campus where she worked as a secretary. As pastimes, Liz enjoyed tole painting, sewing and scrap booking. The most cherished part of Liz’s life was her family. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; daughter, Cathy (Darren), Aberdeen, Scotland; sons, Kenneth (Jane), Milton, Ont.; and Kevin (Melissa), Dartmouth; grandsons: Myles, Curtis, Lukas, Grant, Riley and Mikail; sisters: Frances Roussy, Trenton; Eileen Ehler, New Glasgow; Theresa (Danny) Walsh, Westville; Stacia (Doug) MacIntosh, New Glasgow; Jeannie (Lee) Simpson, New Glasgow; brothers: Don (Trudy) Grant , River Road, Plymouth; Bob (Stephanie) Grant, Trenton; Kevin (Susan) Grant , New Glasgow; an aunt, Beatrice Fraser of New Glasgow; a number of nieces and nephews. The family received visitors 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday in the H.W.Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. today from St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church with Father Gary MacPherson officiating. Burial will be in the Thorburn Cemetery.
