HUGHES, MARGARET J. The passing of Margaret Juanita Hughes of Fredericton occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Wednesday, February 26, 2003. She was 78. Born in Devon, NB, she was a daughter of the late William Francis McGinley and Helen Gertrude (Douglass) McGinley. Margaret was a member of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church and a member of the NB Tel Telephone Pioneers. She is survived by two daughters, Linda, of Fredericton and Catherine Hughes-Seto and husband Bill of Fredericton; four sons, Gregory and wife Susan, Mark and wife Marlene, Barry and Cyril, all of Fredericton; seven grandchildren; one brother Ronald McGinley of Burlington, Ont.; three sisters, Catherine McGinley of Fredericton, Pauline Allain of Fredericton and Alice Legere of Fredericton Junction; a sister-in-law Elinor McGinley of St. Stephen; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, her husband Lawrence W. Hughes, three sisters Olive Miller, Helen O'Leary and Evelyn McGinley and a brother Donald McGinley. Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, where visitation will be held Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, 603 Union Street, Fredericton, on Saturday, March 1, 2003 at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Monte Peters will officiate. Pallbearers for the service will be sons Gregory, Mark, Barry and Cyril, son-inlaw Bill Seto and nephew Timmy McGinley. Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada, The Arthritis Society or any charitable organization.
