SCOTT, H. DANIEL Suddenly at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital in Burlington, Ontario on Sunday, March 2, 2003. Dan Scott of Burlington, age 48 years. Loving husband and best friend of Joyce Spinney Scott. Cherished father of Ryan, Dennis and Megan. Dear brother of Pat Nichols (Barry) of Stratford, Nancy Nurmi (Arnie) and Grant all of Thunder Bay and brotherin-law of Laura of North Bay. Dan will also be sadly missed by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, his uncle Jim and his wife Marj and his aunt Dot Scott. Predeceased by his parents Glen and Hilda Scott of Fredericton and his brother Richard of North Bay. Born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Dan and his family lived on several Air Force bases before returning to Fredericton where he completed high school and attended the University of New Brunswick, graduating in 1976 with a B.B.A. Dan was employed by CIBC in Fredericton, Halifax and Toronto before joining the Bank of Montreal in 1981 until his sudden death. Dan and his family moved to Burlington, Ontario in 1984 and he continued to pursue his love of sports, playing commercial league hockey and more recently joining the Burlington Old Timer's Hockey Association. He was also an avid golfer and enjoyed his regular weekend golf games with his friends. Dan will be remembered by all who knew and loved him. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of the QEW), Burlington (905-632-3333) on Wednesday 7-9 p.m. where funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2003 at 1 p.m. Cremation.
