MACDONALD, IVAN ROBERT The death of Ivan Robert MacDonald of Plaster Rock, 63, occurred March 3, 2003 at the Tobique Valley Manor, Plaster Rock, following complications from a devastating accident which occurred in October, 1999. Ivan leaves behind his loving wife of 43 years Mavis (Harrison); daughter Shelley (Dean) McInnis of Amherst, NS and son Darren (Trena) MacDonald of Plaster Rock; four beloved grandchildren, Andrew and Amanda McInnis and Jordyn and Brendan MacDonald; two sisters Joyce Lauridsen (Ray) of Aroostook, NB, Judy Barr (Bob) of Rowena, NB and one brother Alton MacDonald (Jeannine) of PerthAndover; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Ivan was predeceased by his parents Harry and Doris MacDoanld, brother Jack MacDonald and sister Barb Argraves. Born in Fredericton, NB on November 14, 1939, Ivan was a dedicated and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He began his working career at Wright and Everett Company and settled into a lifetime of trucking gravel and excavation, spending many hours of enjoyment working at what he loved. Ivan had been an active member of his community, serving as Village Councilor from 1976 to 1982. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge F&AM #48, served on the Tobique Valley Manor Building Committee and the Tobiaque Valley Hospital Board. In his leisure time, Ivan enjoyed his family and grandchildren, attending family gatherings, especially the Alexander Family Reunions, and using his fifth-wheel trailer when camping with his and Mavis's many friends. Ivan will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him, especially his family, many friends, and business associates. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Tobique Chapel, Everett Lane in Plaster Rock, on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2003 at 2 p.m. from the Tobique Chapel. Rev. Fred Hanson will officiate, assisted by Rev. Dana McKillop. Interment will follow at the Linton Corner Cemetery. For those who wish, donations to the Tobique Valley Manor would be appreciated by the family. There will be a Masonic Memorial service held at the chapel on Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. Arrangements by Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover,
