MOONEY, OLIVE LAURA The death of Olive Laura Mooney of Fredericton, NB, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Thursday, March 27th, 2003. Born in Cails Mills, NB, on July 15th, 1923. She was the daughter of the late Jay and Etta (Black) Bunnell and wife of James Mooney. Olive worked for many years at the Sussex Hospital Health Center as a cook and a foster mother to Cheryl, Bernard, Grace, Lulu, Terry, Diane, Joey and Marc. Survived by her husband James, one daughter, Joan Debly (George) of Fredericton NB; three sons, Dale (Effie) of Nanaimo, BC, Jay of Hampstead, NB, and Reginald (Betty) of Sechelt, BC; ten grandchildren, Jason, Andrew, Daina, Tara, Laurel, Maja, Angela, Wayne, Chester and Victoria, and six great grandchildren. Olive was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Charles, Chester, Harold and James; sisters, Emma, Edith, Viola, Violet and Leona. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Monday, March 31st, 2003 from 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the Brunswick Street Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 1st, at 3:00 PM. Rev. Cecil Symes will officiating assisted by Rev. Ralph Irving. Interment will be in the Pioneer Cemetery, Sussex, NB in the spring.
