GIFFINS, SHIRLEY JEAN The death of Shirley Jean Giffins of Fredericton occurred at home on Friday, April 4th, 2003. Born in Mount Hope, ON, she was the wife of Reid Giffins. Shirley was a retired teacher having taught in Hamilton, Ontario for many years. Shirley was the past president of the Hamilton Ladies Teachers Association, a former member of the Fredericton Library Board and a member of the Fredericton Curling Club. Survived by her husband, Reid; two daughters, Moira Giffins of Harvey, NB, and Meredith Giffins of Montreal; one sister, Joyce Horrax of Burlington, ON and one niece. There will be no visitation or service by family request. For those who wish, memorial tributes made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
