MARGARET ELLA (JOHNSTON) HENDERSON

HENDERSON, MARGARET ELLA (JOHNSTON) The death of Margaret Ella (Johnston) Henderson of Durham Bridge, wife of the late Allan Charles Henderson, occurred Monday, May 5, 2003 at her residence. Born in Lower Durham, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary (Pond) Johnston. Mrs. Henderson was a member of Centennial United Church (Nashwaak Village), life member of the United Church Women and Womens Institute. Mrs. Henderson is survived by her son Alden Henderson of Upper Durham; two daughters, Peggy Anderson (Lenwood) of Stanley and Pat Sutherland (Peter) of Durham Bridge; one sister, Inez Estey of Upper Durham; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; son-in-law Maxwell Pond of Upper Durham; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by one daughter, Mary Pond; two brothers, Maurice and James Johnston; one sister, Freda Johnston. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton North on Wednesday, May 7 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, on Thursday, May 8 at 2 pm. Rev. Hazel Morris-Harvey will officiate. Interment will take place at the Upper Durham Memorial Cemetery. Reception to follow in Womens Institute Hall. Pallbearers for the service will be: Chris Sutherland, Tim Doucette, Donald Dionne, Mike Boudreau, Tom Walsh, and Dale Regan.
