NEW GLASGOW – Frank Russell Simpson, age 95, of Mitchell Street, New Glasgow passed away Saturday, March 29, 2008, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Lewis R. and Jemima (Ormiston) Simpson. He was a retired letter carrier and clerk with Canada Post. He was a member of Trinity United Church. He was an Amateur Radio Operator (VEI FY). He is survived by sons: Stewart (Barb), Charlottetown; Wayne (Elaine), Abercrombie; grandchildren: Karen, Kim (Tim) McRoberts, Rob, Nancy (Phil) McGee, Kent (Tanya); great-grandchildren: Daniel, Breanna, Katie, Emily, Ella, Nicholas, Abbey; brother, Ernest, New Glasgow; sister-in- law, Marion Simpson, Lindsay, ON. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Kathleen Ella Stewart and a brother, Harold; sister-in-law Elizabeth “Betty” Simpson. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. A public committal service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel at Heatherdale Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jim Webber-Cook officiating. Donations in Frank’s memory may be made to a charity of choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the R.H. Porter Funeral Home New Glasgow.
