VANDENBORRE, MARCEL RENE, The passing of Marcel Rene VanDenborre of Fredericton, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Saturday, May 17, 2003. Born in Minto, N.B., he was the son of the late Frank and Augusta (Vandermeren) VanDenborre. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and worked as a contractor. Marcel was inducted into the Softball Hall of Fame with the Minto Moners Softball team. Survived by his wife Pauline, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Maurice and Georgette Spencer. He was the last surviving member of his family. No visitation by request. A funeral service will be held at St. James Presbyterian Church, Hanwell Road on Thursday, May 22 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert Adams officiating. Internment will be held at St. James Presbyterian Cemetery, Hanwell.
