COREY, GEORGIA ELDENA MARIE G. Eldena M. Corey , 83, formerly of Nackawic, passed away June 6, 2003 in Moncton with her family, after a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Gordon Wesley Corey and the daughter of the late George and Nora (Taylor) Nicholson of Meductic. Eldena was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a dedicated member of the Wesleyan Church, a tireless Sunday School teacher and a volunteer. Along with homemaking, Eldena's interests included quilting, genealogy, antiquing and literature. She is the adored mother of three daughters, Doris Surette (Clarence), Moncton, Linda Bradley (Frank Kostelnik), Fredericton and Deborah Corey (Wilson Zildjian), Castine, Maine; four sons, George Corey (Sherley), Portland, Maine, Deverne Corey (Barbara), Woodstock, Dana Corey (Charlene), Nackawic and Aubrey 'Wes' Corey (Cindy), Woodstock; 19 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Eldena was predeceased by five sisters, Verta Goodine, Anna MacArthur, Virginia York, Marguerite Dion and Angel Nicholson and three brothers, Randolph Nicholson, John Nicholson and Carroll Nicholson. Funeral service will be held at Nackawic Wesleyan Church, 477 Otis Drive, Nackawic on Monday, June 9, 2003 at 2 p.m. Rev. Wayne Blinn officiating, assisted by Rev. Carl Brewer and grandsons-in-law Rev. Andrew Richardson and Rev. Stephen Berube. Interment will be in Temperance Vale Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Nicholson, Alton Nicholson, Paul Dion, David Corey, Donald Corey and Vincent Corey. Active pallbearers will be grandsons Drake Corey, Mitchell Corey, Tracy Dempsey, great grandson Alexander Pirie and nephews, Brent Corey and Floyd Nicholson.
