BEEK, DONALD ELROY The death of Donald Elroy Beek of Fredericton occurred on Monday, June 16, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Storeytown, he was the son of the late Cornelius and Minnie (Storey) Beek. Mr. Beek worked on road construction and the St. Lawrence Seaway. He was also employed with Ontario Hydro for 25 years. He was a member of the Korean Veterans Association, Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 23, and the Masonic Bruce Lodge #43. Mr. Beek is survived by two sisters, Bertha Holmes of Silliker and Sylvia Woodcock of Fredericton; one brother Vincent (Orella) of Storeytown; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by sisters, Pauline Storey and Verna Munn; and brothers Turney and Cyril. Although there will be no visitation, family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service which will be held on Thursday, June 19 at 2 pm from St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Main Street, Doaktown with Rev. David Titus officiating. Interment will follow in Anglican Cemetery, Doaktown.
