WIGHTMAN, BESSIE MAUDE (nee HUNTER), Peacefully, on May 29th, 2003 at the Glebe Centre, Ottawa, O.N. Predeceased by Arthur, her husband of 55 years, baby daughter, Anne and grandson, Geoff, as well as siblings Muriel, Hazel, Clifford and Borden. Beloved mother of Bob (Peggy Colpitts), grandmother of Chris (Sherry McPhail) and Pete (Julie Ireton) and great-grandmother to Noah and Luke, all of Ottawa. Also survived by sisterin-law, Marjorie, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Born in Florenceville, N.B., October 13, 1905, she lived most of her life in Fredericton, N.B., except for 19341943, in Ottawa. She was deeply involved in the community as well as her extended family and spent most of her working career with the New Brunswick Association of Registered Nurses. In 1999 she left her many close friends in N.B. and moved to Ottawa to near her immediate family. In memoriam donations to a favorite charity would be welcomed. A memorial service and committal will take place on July 10th, 2003 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church in Fredericton, N.B.
