STEWART, EMMETT LYONS The passing of Emmett Lyons Stewart occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Wednesday, July 2, 2003. He was 85. He was a resident of the Veteran's Health Unit in Fredericton. Born in Marysville, NB, he was a son of the late James Allison Stewart and Blanche (Porter) Stewart. Emmett worked with Canadian Cottons for many years and later as a sign maker with the Department of Transportation. He served overseas with the 2nd Battalion Carleton York during WWII and was an honorary member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 15 Marysville. Predeceased by his wife, Suzanne Marie (Basque) Stewart in 1999; two sisters, Mabel and Mattie and two brothers, Lawrence and Walter. He is survived by a son Allison and his wife Linda and a granddaughter Jessica of Vancouver; a sister Helena Gillis of Fredericton; several nieces and nephews. Visitaiton will be held at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Our Lady of Fatima Church, Marysville on Monday, July 7, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
