BURTT, SADIE MAE Sadie M. Burtt of Zealand passed away July 17, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born at Upper Stone Ridge on June 30, 1910, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Cleady (Brewer) Hanson. Sadie enjoyed fishing and playing SkipBo. She was a strong supporter of the Guiggey Country Gospel Singing Group and she enjoyed quality time with family and friends. Sadie is survived by one daughter, Daisy and friend Pat Nealis; one son, Charlie (Roena), both of Zealand; 23 grandchildren; 79 great grandchildren, 25 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one daughter, Priscilla Brewer, one son, Corey Burtt, five infant children, three brothers, Elwood, Delbert and Hayward Hanson, two sisters, Jane Allen and Verla Brewer, one grandson, Osborne Brewer, two great grandchildren and her life long friend, Carvel Crouse. Visiting hours will be held Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Zealand United Pentecostal Church, 2016 Route 104, Zealand. Funeral service will be held from the church on Sunday, July 20 at 2 p.m. Rev. Donald McCarty officiating, assisted by Rev. Terry Brewer. Interment will take place in Zealand Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons Dale Burtt, Leroy Burtt, Lebaron Burtt, Jerry Burtt, Ivan Brewer and John Burtt.
