GARY JAMES MONGRAW

MONGRAW, GARY JAMES The sudden death of Gary J. Mongraw of Oromocto, NB occurred on August 16th, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Peterborough Ontario he was the son of Ronald and the late Jean (Bulmer) Mongraw and husband of Marie (Schell) Mongraw. Gary was a graduate of Kenner Collegiate of Peterborough, active in snowmobiling, water skiing and marksmanship. Gary joined the Canadian Forces in 1975 posted in Trenton, ON, Lahr (Germany), Downsview (Toronto), CFB Gagetown, including a Peace Keeping Tour in the Golan Heights. Upon retiring he drove tractor-trailer for Day & Ross for six years, recently working for DND as a driver. He was a member of the pit crew for # 51 driver Larry Gulliver at the Geary Speedway. Other hobbies included woodworking, welding and finish carpentry. Survived by his wife, Marie of Oromocto, NB; one son Daniel (Kelsey) and grandson Grabriel all of Fredericton, NB; father, Ronald (Sally); one brother, David (Patricia); two sisters, Debbie (James) Lasenby all of Peterborough, ON and Lori (Ken) McGee of Workworth, ON and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Jean. The family will receive visitors at 8 Hatch St., Oromocto, NB from 6-8 pm on Friday, August 22nd, 2003.
