BETTS, MARY JANE (STOREY) The death of Mary Jane (Storey) Betts, wife of the late Holland Betts, occurred on Saturday, August 23, 2003 at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Doaktown NB, she was the daughter of the late David and Helen (Munn) Storey. She loved to play darts, was very involved with the Miramichi Friendship Club, Boiestown Lions Club, and was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary Branch #23. She is survived by one son George Betts of Storeytown, NB; two daughters Carol Munn of Fredericton NB and Vera Long of Ludlow, NB; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; two brothers Mark Storey (Katherine) of Storeytown NB, Raymond Storey (Helen) of Ottawa, On; one sister Etta Bruce (Earl) of Taxis River NB; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers Henry and Cyril Storey. Visitation will be at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home 7681 Route 8 New Bandon, NB on Sunday from 7-9pm and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2pm from the Doaktown United Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the Doaktown Baptist Cemetery.
