MOORE, ROGER M. Suddenly, August 26, 2003, Roger M. Moore, 57, beloved husband of Gayle Moore (Whitney), loved and only child of Helen Moore, caring father of Toby (Tanya), Tayne (Jill) and adoring grandfather of 4-month-old Abigail Grace. Predeceased by his father, Raymond. Among those deeply saddened by his death are in-laws Colleen and Barry Thompson, Marlene and Douglas Spearman, Laurie and Lisa Whitney, Allen and Stella Whitney, Alton Jr. and Terri Whitney, and his aunt Gertrude Gilmore. He also leaves many nieces and nephews whose lives have been brightened and enriched by the wit, generosity and love of Uncle Roger. Unassuming, funny, invariably kind, a true friend and amiable colleague, Roger will be missed by all who knew him. Born in Marysville, NB, Roger was an avid golfer and had a life long interest in sports. He coached baseball and hockey at all levels and was instrumental in the building of the Stanley Arena. During their 35 years of marriage Roger and Gayle shared their love of nature in kayaking, canoeing, walking, bicycling, and many outdoor activities. He was a member of the congregation of Corbett Avenue Wesleyan Church. Roger was employed as Manager, Facilities Management, New Brunswick Power Commission. Visitation will be held at River Valley Funeral Services (455-4267), 50 Avonlea Court (off Bishop Drive), Fredericton on Friday, August 29, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Services at Corbett Avenue Wesleyan Church, Saturday, August 30th, 2003 at 2 p.m. A reception will be held following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Corbett Avenue Wesleyan Church, Canadian Cancer Society, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. www.rivervalleyfuneral.ca
