HATTO, ERMA EVELYN Erma E. (Fox) Hatto widow of the late Vinal S. Hatto of Pokiok passed away September 11, 2003 at Carleton Manor, Woodstock. Born February 11, 1914 at Southampton, she was the daughter of the late Nevers Freeman Fox and Sophia Rose (Mercure) Fox. Erma was predeceased by her husband, three sons, Charles, Bernard and Vinal Jr., one sister, Laura Bushong and one brother Ernest Fox. Erma is survived by one daughter, Joan (Clifford) Rae of Calgary, Alberta; six grandchildren, Michael (Aileen) Rae, Heather (Dr. Douglas) Johnson, Sandra (Todd) Clarkson all of Calgary, Kelly Rae of New York, Vinal (Wendy) Hatto of Pokiok and Trudy (Leonard) Roy of Moncton; twelve great grandchildren, Piers and Gemma Rae, William, Zachary, Rebecca and Emily Johnson, Isobel and McLeod Clarkson all of Calgary, Jennifer, Todd and Bradley Hatto of Pokiok and Kristie Grant (Chad Schram) of Moncton; one great great grandson, Riley; two sisters, Violet Horncastle of Fredericton and Nina Dickinson of Kelowna, BC. She is also survived by her former daughter-in-law, Violet Rosborough (Bill), and she was also Grammie to Barbara (Ted) Harris and Jessica, Peter (Louise) Rosborough, Michael and Brittany, two special nieces, Gail Crain of Dumfries and Irene Fitzgerald of Prince William who visited her faithfully during her stay at Carleton Manor, and a number of nieces, nephews and friends. Erma was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 27 in Nackawic and served in many capacities over the years. A special thank you to the nurses and staff on C-Wing at Carleton Manor in Woodstock for the care and comfort given to mother during her stay. Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Sunday, September 14, 2003 at 2 p.m. Rev. John Roy officiating. Interment will be later in the Otis Cemetery beside her husband and sons. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Erma the family has suggested Carleton Manor.
